Hi guys,
before I start let me say I am still doing my CCNA, said that did anyone did the Rip lab 4. if so could you explain me how you got the task Task 7 done. I found this on the web, tryed it..but still didnt know how to inject 0.0.0.0 to rip domain " Task 7 requires that we use conditional default route injection so that when network 1.0.0.0/8 is in R2’s routing table, R2 will inject default route into the RIPv2 domain. We will use an ACL and route-map to accomplish this " if you could share your knowlegde please thx a lot ^shadow^ Last edited by ^shadow^; 01-12-08 at 10:29 PM.. |

Hi,
you can inject the default using the below commands. under router rip default-information originate or under router rip default-information originate route-map and the name you created the route-map for network how to use route-map create access list then go for route-map name of map per 10 mat ip address (ACLno used to match the line) i hope you will understand the configuration. |

Which Narbik workbook are you doing?
I don't think there is conditional route advertisiement in RIPv2. You can do it in BGP with exist, non-exist and advertise-maps for any specific neighbor, but I don't know of a way to do it in RIP. I would certainly like to know if it is possible :-) |

cruseda,
its also supported in almost all the routing protocols, e.g. RIP,V2,EIGRP,OSPF,BGP. try out the commands as follows. Router rip default-information ? default-information origente ? you will see the commands available and working properly. let me know if it's help you or require more information. check the below link for more info. cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_2/iproute/command/reference/1rfrip.html#wp1017420 Regards, SM |
